范文句型分析:
1. It is thought by some people that making mistakes is shameful.
 →Some people think that making mistakes is shameful.
   有些人认为犯错是可耻的。
   解说:
a. mistake n.错误
   make a mistake 犯错
  *error与blunder 亦常与make连用:
   make an error 犯错(尤指写作的错误)
   make a blunder 犯大错
   例:Sally only made one error on the pop quiz.
       萨莉的随堂小考中只有一处错误。
      The accountant made a blunder, v hich cost the company a lot of money.
        那位会计犯了一个大错,使公司损失很多钱。
b. shameful   a.(事)令人可耻的
   ashamed a.(人)感到羞耻的
   例:The shameful behavior of that child must not be tolerated.
       那个小孩的丢脸行为绝对不能宽容。
      That vendor should be ashamed of himself for trying to shortchange his customers.
       那个小贩应该为其企图少找钱给顾客而感到羞耻。

2. But the fact of the matter is that mistakes are a common part of everyone's life.
   但事实上,犯错是每个人生活中很普通的事。
   解说:
a. the fact of the matter is + that从句  事实上……
  =the truth is+that从句
   例:The truth is that Sue has a crush on Tom.
      事实是苏迷恋上汤姆。
      *crush n.迷恋
b. common a.普通的,常见的& a.相同;共同
   in common with…与……相同/共同
   例:He's not your common,everyday mouse;he's Mickey Mouse!
      那不是普通日常所见的老鼠,他是迪斯尼乐园的米老鼠!
      Hugh and Anita got married even though most people said that they had little in common with each other.
      虽然大多数人都说休和阿妮塔没有共同点,他们还是结婚了。

3. No one is perfect.
   没有人是完美无瑕的。
   解说:
   perfect  a.完美的,极好的& vt.使完美
   例:This is a perfect time to ask for a raise.
       这是要求加薪的绝佳时机。
       It took that performer years to perfect his juggling skills.
       那位表演者花费了许多年功夫来使他的戏法技巧臻于完美。

4. It's unreasonable to expect a person to be right all the time.
   期望一个人永远正确是不合理的。
   解说:
a. unreasonable a.不合理的
   reasonable a.合理的
   例:The pay is good for that kind ofwork, but the hours are unreasonable.
      对那种工作来说,待遇是不错,但上班时间却不合理。
       A:I'll give you 1,000 yuan for your painting.
       B:OK, I guess that's reasonable.
       A:我愿花1000元买你的画。
       B:好的,我想那很合理。
b. all the time 一直,永远;经常
   例:A:Where have you been these days?
      B:I've been here all the time.
      A:这些日子你都在哪儿?
      B:我一直都在这儿。
      Connie seems to be sick all the time.
      康妮似乎经常生病。

5. However, we should do our utmost to avoid making the same mistake twice.
   然而,我们应该竭尽所能避免再犯相同的错误。
   解说:
a. utmost n.最大限度;极度
   do one's utmost to V 尽某人最大努办...
   例:We did our utmost to convince him to cut down on his drinking.
       我们尽最大的努力来说服他少喝酒。
b. avoid vt.避免
   注意:
   avoid须加动名词或名词作宾语,不可接不定式作宾语,同类的动词有:escape(逃避)、risk胃险)、consider(考虑)、resent(讨厌)、admit(承认)、deny(否认)、suggest(建议)、recommend(建议)、mind(在乎)、quit(停止)等。
   例:With my mom around, I can't escape making my bed.
      有我妈妈在旁边,我别想逃过铺床。
      We saw you! There's no point (in) denying doing it.
      我们看到你了!否认做过那件事是没有用的。
      *There is no point(in) + V-ing  做……是无用的
      =There is no sense (in) +V-ing
      =There is no use (in)+V ing
      =It is no use+V ing

6. It is my feeling that making a mistake may turn out to be a good thing.
   我觉得犯错反而可能是一件好事。
   解说:
   It is one's feeling+ that从句  某人觉得……
  =One has a feeling + that从句
  =One's feeling is + that从句
  =One feels+that从句
   例:I had a feeling that this movie would be popular.
       我觉得这部电影会很轰动。

7. It is through our errors that we can find the path to doing things correctly.
   通过错误我们才能找到把事情做对的途径。
   解说:
a. 此处使用"It is/was...+that从句”的强调句,其句型一共有两种:
   (1)It is/was+介词短语/时间副词/状语从句+that从句,此处that是连接词,引导名词性从句。
   例:It was by train that I went to Tainan.
      我是乘火车到台南的。
      It was only when I had my own children that I realized how much my mother had done for me.
      直到我有了自己的孩子,我才了解妈妈为我所做的一切。
   (2) It is/was+名同/代词+who/whom/which引导的定语从句*以上关系代词均可用that代替;且这种句型翻译时,多先译定语从句,再译被强调的名词。
   例:It was that grammar book which aroused my interest in learning English.
       引起我学英语兴趣的就是那本语法书。
      It is Dr. Lee whom(或that)1 hold in high esteem.
       我特别敬重的人是李博士。
b. find the path / way / road to V-ing
   例:What must a person do to find the road to having peace of mind?
       要怎么做才能找到心情平静的方法呢?

8. Finally, it is important to remember that few mistakes are so terrible that they cannot be corrected.
   最后,还有很重要的一点必须记住,那就是几乎没有任何错误会严重到无法改正的地步。
   解说:
   few a.很少(数)的
   注意:
   few不冠a时为否定用法,表“很少”或“几乎没有”,等于not many; a few则为肯定用法,表“有几个”、“有少数”,之后接复数可数名词;little为否定用法,表“不多”或“很少”,等于not much ;a little则为肯定用法,表“有一点”,之后接不可数名词。
   例:He has few friends in the city.
       他在这城里没有什么朋友。
      She bought a few diamonds last month.
       她上个月买了几颗钻石。
      There is little sugar left in the jar.
       罐子里剩下的糖不多了。
      There is a little sugar left in the jar.
       罐子里还有一些糖。
