1.I had intended to take a trip to Paris since my brother went there to study.

  解说:
a.intend vt.打算
  intend to V 打算……
  intend sb to V  打算/计划让某人……
  例:She intended to quit the part-time job one month ago.

  take a trip to+地方名词  去某地旅行

c.since... 自从……
  注意:
  此处since作副词连接词用,引导过去时的状语从句。修饰时态为现在完成(进行)时或过去完成(进行)时之主句。本文即属后者,表追溯过去一直想去巴黎且已成行:
  例:I have been teaching English since I moved here.
     自从我搬到这里后,就一直在教英文。
     He said he had studied French since he started college.
     他说自从他上大学后,他就一直在学法文。

  注意:
  本文‘'be fortunate enouth to V”中enough是副词,作后位修饰,即置于所修饰的形容词或副词之后,巨其后须接不定式。
  例:He was mouth fortunate for passing the entrance exam.(x)
  -> He was fortunate enough to pass the entrance exam.(O)
     他很幸运地通过了人学考试。

 =be realized
 =materialize
  例:His dream of being a painter was realized
     他成为画家的梦想实现了。

3.I spent more than one month visiting several magnificent museums and famous architectural sites.

 (3)不完全不及物be动词
 (4)代词,作表语,省略了cup, very为副词,作强调用法。而the same之后的关系代词一定要用that,不可用who或which
  注意:
  the same + N + that从句 就是同一个…
  the same + N + as... 和……相同的……
  例:Don't make the same mistake that you did last time.
     别犯和上次同样的错误。
     I have the same watch as he is wearing.
     我有一只表和他戴的那只表相同。
 (5)关系代词that引导的定语从句,修饰(4)中已省略的cup.

  例:The storyteller filled the children's minds with vivid descriptions of imaginary places.

  例:I will always remember the sound of her unforgettable laugh.
